BANTUMILLI (Krishna): In a gruesome attack, a pesticide businessman was brutally murdered by unidentified miscreants near Andhra Bank junction at Bantumilli in Krishna district on Saturday.
According to Bantumulli sub inspector Naveen, the deceased businessman identified as Pabbisetti Badrinarayanamurthy, 50, a resident of Janakirampuram, Bantumilli, was dropping his daughter at a bus stand when miscreants attacked him with country-made weapons.
Police said land disputes with one family in the village might be the reasons behind this cruel attack.
Explaining the incident, sub inspector Naveen said that at around 7 am a group of four members covering their face with masks reportedly reached the spot in an auto and spotted Badrinarayanamurthy along with his daughter. After confirming that his daughter left the spot, they attacked Badri with weapons and silted his neck. After confirming that he was dead, they escaped.
"They attacked him and silted his neck. Since the incident happened in early hours, no one could notice the ruthless attack. After few minutes, neighbours passing by informed police," said the police Naveen.
A case was booked following the complaint of the wife of deceased and a manhunt has been initiated to nab the accused.
